Hong Kong’s Fire Services Department has confirmed that a staff member has been involved in a case in Tokyo after Japanese media reported the arrest of a 30-year-old off-duty firefighter for the alleged rape of a woman.
Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun said the man, on holiday in the city with his wife, is alleged to have forced sexual intercourse with a Japanese woman in a male bathroom in a building in the central Chiyoda district on Sunday.
Media in Japan reported the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department had confirmed a Chinese national had been arrested on Sunday on suspicion of rape.
Watch the video below. As YouTuber Li Lansi pointed out, why didn’t he say that he is taking revenge on behalf of his country? Like Meng Wanzhou, he could be returning to a hero’s welcome after he is released from prison.
Chris Chapel gives us a summary. China was already developing a vaccine long before the world knew about the first outbreak. The outbreak could have been due to a lab leak while developing the vaccine.
To change history, you could tell a bunch of lies to a bunch of ignorant people and promote a few pandering, pathetic academics. Otherwise, you would need a time machine.
In our dreams, Rambo seems to have such a machine, but he could not have changed the outcome of the Vietnam War even if he could singlehandedly gun down an entire enemy battalion.
In fact, all Rambo had to do to change the course of Vietnamese history, was to assassinate this man, Ngo Dinh Diem before he became the first president of the Republic of Vietnam. Ironically, Diem was an anti-communist ally of the US.
Diem’s brutal regime of arrests, torture, persecution and execution earned him the hatred of south Vietnamese of diverse backgrounds; mainly communist sympathisers and Buddhists.
If Diem had been replaced by a more enlightened leader the moment the DMZ was drawn up at the 17th parallel by the UN in 1954, there could have been no NLF and Buddhist uprising. Everyone except the hardcore communists would have fled Hanoi for Saigon, leaving the north to go the way of North Korea. Sadly, things didn’t turn out the same way in Vietnam.
The insurgent group, National Liberation Front was actually a diverse group of individuals. Only some were communists, but they had one thing in common – they hated Diem and America. And the more Diem tried to suppress them, the harder they fought back. By the time Diem was assassinated in 1963 (with US approval) it was already too late. The NLF had grown to be a formidable guerilla army.
The bulk of the Vietnam War was not a war between north and south but rather a war against a local insurgency in the south that began as early as 1955. With support from their communist allies in the north, the insurgency grew from strength to strength. Allied ground troops comprising the US, Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and South Korea started arriving only after 1965. Again, they were late. The Army of the Republic of Vietnam was so bogged down by guerilla attacks that they would be easy game for the People’s Army of Vietnam.
What if the allied forces didn’t arrive? The north would have invaded and Saigon would have fallen in the 1950s.
Recognizing the threat of communism in the region, Singapore’s S Rajaratnam gathered his counterparts in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and the Philippines to form ASEAN in 1967. Though it was nothing like NATO, two strategically critical members, Thailand and the Philippines were US treaty allies. It was a way to show support for the war against communism without appearing pro-US. Malaysian PM Tun Razak was a strong supporter of the alliance. Appallingly, some Malaysians today see the US as a threat to the region, ignoring the sinister moves to enforce 九段线。
The PAVN in the north only started attacking in full force after the Watergate embattled Nixon handed over US bases to the ARVN. A peace accord was signed in 1973. US POWs were returned but the PAVN continued to gain ground over the ARVN, closing in on south Vietnam from Laos and Cambodia until Saigon finally fell in 1975.
Later that year, the Pathet Lao came to power. Then the Khmer Rouge in 1976. Burma was already a socialist union since 1962. Eisenhower’s domino effect was rearing its ugly head and Thailand was glaringly the last domino. If Thailand fell, the rest of Southeast Asia would have turned red. And it was indeed a narrow escape for us. Now imagine that the “evil, meddlesome” US, as some folks call it, never got involved.
Immediately after the fall of Saigon, the US evacuated 1.4 million Vietnamese allies. Some were left out but they risked their lives to escape as refugees commonly known as the boat people. This would be the greatest contribution from the West – the resettlement of millions of Vietnamese to realise their full potential in developed countries.
But among the 1.6 million boat people, there were definitely some who used to fight for the communists but changed their minds after a few years of communist rule. They should have been repatriated. As for those who complain about meddling Americans and the decadent West, they too should get a taste of life behind the iron curtain.
So why didn’t Thailand fall? The main reason is the strong military cooperation the kingdom had with the US. If people back then had seen the US as the threat like so many unthinking people now, the lives of our parents and grandparents would have been very, very different.
A gold-digging woman in China caused her ex-husband to commit suicide.
Su Xiangmao 苏享茂, the founder and developer of the international communication software “WePhone” in China, committed suicide by jumping from the top floor of his home in 2017.
He even posted a chilling suicide note on social media, stating that his death is caused by his ex-wife who cheated on the marriage and took away 13 million RMB in just a few months. He also revealed that she had extorted 10 million RMB from him in their divorce.
In response to the public uproar back then, Su’s ex-wife Zhai Xinxin 翟欣欣 insisted that Su Xiangmao’s suicide had nothing to do with her. Su Xiangmao’s elder brother then filed a lawsuit against Zhai Xinxin for the return of the gifts. The verdict was finally out in 2023
According to Chinese media reports, the whole incident happened in 2017. On March 30, 2017, Su Xiangmao and Zhai Xinxin met on a dating website. From the day they met, Zhai had already started asking him for money, but Su Xiangmao, the wealthy entrepreneur, didn’t seem to mind. Less than 3 months after their first meeting, the couple registered their marriage on June 7 2017. While dating, Zhai Xinxin claimed to have “only dated one boyfriend”. It was discovered that she actually had a marriage record. Again, Su didn’t seem to mind.
After marriage, Zhai Xinxin continued to milk Su. She urged Su to sell the Beijing apartment purchased before marriage because she had a “fear of heights” and buy another property. Su Xiangmao suddenly came to his senses. He realised what Zhai Xinxin had in mind. According to Chinese laws, Su Xiangmao’s Beijing apartment was considered pre-marital asset. In the event of divorce, Zhai Xinxin would not have a share of it. However, if they sold it after marriage and bought a new property, the new property would be considered post-marital assets. When the two got divorced, Zhai Xinxin would have a share of the property. Su refused to sell the Beijing property.
At this point, Zhai Xinxin threatened to divorce him. She even threatened to destroy his business by going to a relative in the police force in Beijing to make his business impossible to run. It seemed that Su had often used VPN without permission from the authorities to get up to speed with world news and also under declared his company’s profits.
She not only extorted 10 million from him but also demanded for a property in Sanya to stop her from reporting him. Su ended up buying the Sanya property without selling the Beijing property, incurring huge costs in the process.
After spending all his money on Zhai, Su found that his company was running into cash flow problems. Seeing everything he had achieved in life going up in smoke, he became depressed and agreed to divorce. Still not satisfied with the “compensation”, Zhai continued to extort money from him.
The trigger for his suicide is this public post that Zhai made on social media. She called him a cheat, a tax evader and playboy, hepatitis B carrier who regularly broke the law by using VPN to access the web. After reading this, Su prepared a highly detailed suicide note with all the documents, receipts and evidence of Zhai Xinxin’s manipulation before committed suicide by jumping off a building in the early morning of September 7, 2017.
In the suicide note posted on the Internet, he attributed his downfall to his toxic, gold-digging wife Zhai Xinxin. They had only met 161 days ago and registered their marriage 92 days ago. In other words, their marriage lasted only 41 days. Su’s elder brother then brought a civil suit against Zhai Xinxin to recover the assets she had milked from his late brother.
Zhai Xinxin argued in court that she had not cheated or extorted money from Su Xiangmao. All the property transfers were voluntarily carried out by Su and Su’s suicide had nothing to do with her. She also insisted that she had legal rights to Su Xiangmao’s property. Su has signed two agreements with regards to their new post-marital property at Sanya, Hainan.
Agreement 1: “After the divorce, the man will unconditionally cooperate with the woman to go to the relevant department in Sanya, Hainan to sign and complete the transfer procedures of the house ownership to the woman. If the man does not cooperate, the woman will be compensated with 3 million liquidated damages.”
Agreement 2: “The man voluntarily compensates the woman 10 million yuan in cash in one lump sum.”
It was amply clear that Zhai had planned to divorce Su once she had acquired the properties! Since Su Xiangmao and Zhai Xinxin registered their marriage on June 7, 2017 and divorced on July 18 2017, the court determined in April 2023, that this was a “flash marriage and divorce”. The court also ruled that Zhai’s rapid acquisition of property and money in her name soon after marriage was suspicious. Since Su and his company was already experiencing financial problems due to the enormous drawdowns, he must have been coerced to pay the millions to Zhai during divorce proceedings. The court revoked the two agreements on the Sanya property.
In addition to requiring Zhai Xinxin to return relevant property, the court also required Zhai Xinxin to return a Tesla car, Cartier jewelry worth 310,000 yuan and related cash, totaling 10 million yuan. At the same time, the court also revoked Zhai Xinxin’s ownership of Su Xiangmao’s two properties in Hainan and Beijing.
The three videos below feature an interview conducted by China’s then top investigative journalist Wang ZhiAn (currently in exile in Japan) when Su Xiangmao’s brother’s case against Zhai Xinxin was still pending. Zhai Xinxin may have lost the properties she got from Su Xiangmao, but she is free to carry on with her life while nothing can bring back the life and promising career of Su Xiangmao. I’m sharing Zhai Xinxin’s photos for the benefit of those who happen to meet her on a dating site.
For too long the narrative has been shaped exclusively by the CCP and sadly, most people still believe it. As the saying goes, 树大必有枯枝. Just like violent jihadists who taint the image of Islam, there were indeed Falungong members who behaved badly. Such bad behaviour is just not the guiding principle of mainstream Falungong.
Who says you need to be punished to turn over a new leaf? Jeff is legendary. He may not seem very well-educated, but this guy is simply brilliant. Please note that this only works if the police have no evidence against you and are trying to entrap you into a confession. Obviously, as a drug addict, ou won’t stand a chance of being released if you’re in Singapore.
Nine steps of interrogation
The Reid technique’s nine steps of interrogation are:
Positive confrontation. Advise the suspect that the evidence has led the police to the individual as a suspect. Offer the person an early opportunity to explain why the offense took place.
Try to shift the blame away from the suspect to some other person or set of circumstances that prompted the suspect to commit the crime. That is, develop themes containing reasons that will psychologically justify or excuse the crime. Themes may be developed or changed to find one to which the accused is most responsive.
Try to minimize the frequency of suspect denials.
At this point, the accused will often give a reason why he or she did not or could not commit the crime. Try to use this to move towards the acknowledgement of what they did.
Reinforce sincerity to ensure that the suspect is receptive.
The suspect will become quieter and listen. Move the theme of the discussion toward offering alternatives. If the suspect cries at this point, infer guilt.
Pose the “alternative question”, giving two choices for what happened; one more socially acceptable than the other. The suspect is expected to choose the easier option but whichever alternative the suspect chooses, guilt is admitted. There is always a third option which is to maintain that they did not commit the crime.
Lead the suspect to repeat the admission of guilt in front of witnesses and develop corroborating information to establish the validity of the confession.
Document the suspect’s admission or confession and have him or her prepare a recorded statement (audio, video or written).
Jeff saw through all this nonsense. He knew they had no evidence against him and he just waited it out. Was he guilty? Who knows? Interestingly, Jeff went on to kick the drug habit and has become a YouTuber of sorts. Good for him. It has often been argued that prosecution and imprisonment are the only way to rehabilitate these junkies. That may not always be the case.
A gifted student in middle school – and a murderer. The way that Michael could talk about murdering his friend so nonchalantly and without a shred of remorse, makes us think if intelligence is really an integral part of being human.
At a slightly less gruesome and gory level, this could be the same kind of mentality behind elitism where people with a sense of superiority believe that lesser beings could and should be exploited, enslaved or even sacrificed for a better world. Why throw good money at garage? Yes, cleanse the planet.
In 1970, Zhang Hongbing was a young idealistic and indoctrinated teenaged member of the Red Guard – the legion of fanatical youth who answered Mao’s call to purge communist china of all bad elements in the Cultural Revolution of the 1960’s and 70’s.
His mother, Fang Zhongmou, was a doctor in the eastern Chinese province of Anhui, who had originally supported the Communist Revolution – but by 1970 was disillusioned by Mao’s policies and began criticsing the chairman in the privacy of her home.
Detecting a revisionist and anti-party enemy by the words of his mother, Zhang denounced her for her criticism. Aided by his father, also a revolutionary zealot, they reported Fang to the police. She subsequently arrested and executed her for the crime of speaking out against Chairman Mao.
Lyrics of that song:
天大地大不如党的恩情大 Heaven and earth are not as great as the gift of the Party
爹亲娘亲不如毛主席亲 Our parents are close but not as close as Chairman Mao
千好万好不如社会主义好 Even the best things on earth are not as good as socialism
河深海深不如阶级友爱深 Rivers and seas are not as deep as our comradeship
毛泽东思想是革命的宝 Mao Zedong Thought is the treasure of revolution
谁要是反对它 Anyone who opposes it
谁就是我们的敌人 is our enemy
Zhang Hongbing doesn’t want the same madness to rule the minds of Chinese people again, but recent developments may disappoint him. Teachers, siblings, spouses and even parents have been reported to the authorities for insulting heroes or disgracing China.
The Cultural Revolution destroyed Chinese civilisation as we knew it.
Dalia Dippolito is an academy award winning actress. Oops, I’m sorry. She was a social escort hired by Michael Dippolito and it was love at first sight. Michael divorced his wife and married her. Dalia then made plans to get Michael who was under probation, thrown back in jail by planting drugs and calling the cops on him. Police became suspicious that somebody was trying to frame Michael and did not arrest him. Instead, they found Dalia suspicious.
In 2009, Dalia Dippolito hired a hitman to kill her husband. She thought she had succeeded because the police played along and set up the crime scene like the shooting of her husband really happened. It’s called 将计就计。Her reaction to the fake announcement that her husband was killed is truly award-winning. Unknown to her, she was brought in for questioning with the police already holding video evidence of her meeting with the “hitman”, an undercover police officer.
Actually, I thought they could have put on the show a little longer since no one was hurt. But then, the most entertaining and ridiculous part has to be that phone call where someone who tried to get you killed asks you for help without even making a lame attempt to redeem herself.
Dalia Dippolito was convicted in 2017 to soliciting first-degree murder and sentenced to 16 years in prison. An earlier conviction had been tossed on appeal, and her second trial ended in a hung jury.
